It is designed to connect your device to a main device running SmartRace and connected to your digital Carrera slot car track via wifi. SmartRace Connect is a personal driver display that gives you all the information you need while racing.
The app provides a list of lap times, including sector times if you have sectors on your track. You can view a fuel gauge, personal best lap, last lap, and average lap time. For the average lap time, you can manually pick laps that should not be part of the average. The app also displays issues on the car, current tires, and current weather (depending on the usage of add-ons on the SmartRace server app). You can view your current position and gap, driver image, and car name. The device vibrates on best laps and low fuel, and you can adjust the brake using a slider. You can also trigger the headlights flasher and track call.
